Susanna Suchak Bio

Author in her natural habitat
Susanna and her husband, Jeff, a landscape photographer, live in Leamington, Ontario, Canada near Point Pelee National Park. We often hike the trails and pathways throughout southern and central Ontario up to the shores of Lake Superior. She is pictured here at Wheatley Provincial Park beside one of the beautiful structures at “the Boneyard” beach.
Susanna works mostly in ink (writing and drawing), watercolor (pencil and brush), and collage (mostly paper and found materials) often incorporating it all into one-of-a-kind art journals. She has a Master’s degree (MAIS) from Athabasca University and a Master’s in Theological Studies from Huron University (UWO). Her major at Athabasca was Writing and the New Media focusing on Transformative Language (visual and written) as a process to restore and rebuild resilience. Her Capstone at Huron focused on trauma-informed ministry and offering creative and participative services outside the traditional Sunday morning offerings.
